The Vector-Finder Series of VHF direction finding antennas provide a compact, lightweight, active antenna, suitable for use in the field with handheld transceivers and scanning radios. The mechanical design allows the sense antennas to be folded back to provide a compact unit, easily stowed or transported in any vehicle. The system interfaces with any FM receiver or transceiver via the antenna jack and the earphone jack. Several different models are available to suit your pocketbook or unique field application, all of which operate on the phase shift technique. The VF-142Q models incorporate left-right indicators as well as an audible response from which the user can determine the true direction of the radio signal. The other types utilize the audible response generated by the equipment and heard on the user’s receiver or transceiver. All models operate from a 9-volt battery.

It is useful for measuring a wide range of devices from 300 kHz to 8 GHz with 10 Hz resolution. By means of external links on the front panel, the internal couplers can be bypassed for direct access to the internal receivers. This flexibility allows, for example, high power amplifier measurements to be carried out using an external booster amplifier and couplers. It is housed in a small lightweight package making it very portable.

Modified Condition / Decision Coverage (MC/DC) provides two levels of verification for conditional expressions. The first level, named MC/DC Branches, tracks each subcondition in an expression to verify that is has been tested with both True and False values. The second level, named Equivalence Pairs, verifies if each subcondition can affect the value of the condition. This is done by generating a truth table for the expression, and then finding a pair of rows in the table that will generate a different result when all values except the tested value remain constant.
