PMDT is proud to present one of our latest innovations, the PDStar. It integrates On-Line Partial Discharge (OLPD) testing and Infrared testing for MV and HV equipment, which combines UHF, AE, Ultrasonic, HFCT, TEV, and Infrared testing technologies. It is applicable for online PD testing, as well as abnormal heating and defect detection on all types of substation equipment. PD amplitude, PRPD, PRPS, and infrared spectrums provide critical data for determining the operational condition of electric power equipment. It connects to the PMDTCloud via Wi-Fi/3G/4G to upload test data, download test tasks, and receive diagnostic results in real time. Another uniquely advanced feature of the PDStar is that it integrates with a 100 MSPS (Mega-Samples per Second) HFCT signal processor, which greatly improves the performance for power cable OLPD testing.

Anechoic Chamber Filters

RF leakage through Ethernet and USB cables can destroy even the best RF enclosures and chambers. The need for filtering in the ever congested RF environment requires special filters that can pass USB 2.0 and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet signals and filter out unwanted higher frequencies such as cellular and WiFi. The Adaura Technologies USB/Gigabit Filters provide one GigE and one USB 2.0 pass-through connections while filtering out other RF up to 8GHz. It has a small form factor to allow easy installation. It is a most cost effective solution for a clean chamber set up. In a typical chamber, WiFi signals are reduced to <-100dBm with this filter installed.

Sector Antennas

A sector antenna is a type of directional microwave antenna with a sector-shaped radiation pattern. The word "sector" is used in the geometric sense; some portion of the circumference of a circle measured in degrees of arc. 60°, 90° and 120° designs are typical, often with a few degrees 'extra' to ensure overlap and mounted in multiples when wider or full-circle coverage is required (see photos below). The largest use of these antennas is as antennas for cell phone base-station sites. They are also used for other types of mobile communications, for example in Wi-Fi networks. They are used for limited-range distances of around 4 to 5 km.
