Sonar
Piezo elements are used in military and commercial sonar systems for position finding activities. Location of surface and subsurface vessels, depth measurement, surveying, fish location, and communication are several of the more common sonar applications. Piezoelectric ceramic materials have high bandwidth and can quickly respond by applying high force at low power levels.
