The 7402e low profile PCI Express serial interface provides four serial ports, each individually field-configurable for RS-422 or RS-485 communications. The board uses a 16C954 UART with 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs that enables data rates to 921.6K bps for reliable high-speed communications in data intensive applications. This high-performance UART includes 9-bit framing support and is register compatible with legacy 16550 software applications. In addition, the board derives a 62.5 MHz clock from the PCI Express link. This ultra-high speed clock is divided by a flexible 8-bit clock prescalar with 1/8 steps to provide support for the widest range of standard and non-standard baud rates.

MODEM ELIMINATOR
The UDC-ME allows two DTE devices (such as routers) to communicate within proximity of each other. The UDC-ME transmits data bi-directionally at clock rates of 1.2k up to 3.072Mbps between DTE devices. The unit is equipped with two interface slots that allow a host of serial interface cards to be utilized. The serial interface cards available are RS-232, RS-422/449, RS-530, X.21, V.35 and HSSI. The Serial Interface cards are interchangeable and may be mixed such as RS-232 to V.35 thus eliminating the need for an interface converter or changing expensive serial cards on a DTE device such as a router.

The TLC5940 is a 16 channel PWM unit with 12-bit duty cycle control (0-4095), 6 bit current limit control (0-63), and a daisy chainable serial interface. This breakout board is a good way to take full advantage of this useful IC. All 16 PWM channels are broken out to standard 0.1" headers, which run alongside convenient voltage and ground rails. Also, because the TLC5940 can be daisy-chained, the breakout is designed to support that feature. The 408A generates cosine, sine and ACMOS/TTL outputs simultaneously and is programmable in 1µHz steps from 100Hz to 100MHz. It is also programmable for FSK and CHIRP outputs. The 408A is controlled by an RS232 serial interface. CAN/FlexRay/Differential Bus PXI Fault Insertion Switch - 8 Channel

This PXI Fault Insertion module is designed to simulate common faults on two wire communication interfaces such as CAN Bus. This module supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial interfaces. Each channel can simulate an open fault in either or both wires, a short between both wires or a short to one of eight externally applied fault connections, such as a battery connection or ground, via four fault buses. Each channel can support up to 0.3A and is rated to handle up to 100V between the wire pairs. The wire pairs have controlled transmission line impedance suited to most differential pair signalling systems, including fast CAN Bus interfaces and RS232. Each fault bus is capable of carrying 2A allowing multiple channels to be connected to the same fault condition. Additionally, each fault bus features a changeover relay to allow the user to connect alternative fault conditions to the fault buses.
