4-Wire Resistance Measurement | Continuity & HiPot Cable & Wire Harness Testers

-

CAMI Research Inc.

CAMI Research Inc.

An add-on option for the CableEye HVX high voltage cable tester series that permits expanded testing for contact and wire resistance as low as 1 mΩ. After checking for opens, shorts, miswires, and resistance limits, the 4-wire Kelvin measurement applies a user-selectable test current from 10 mA to 1 A to determine connection resistance within 1 mΩ. The resistance profile of a model cable may be stored and used as a basis of comparison during later testing to reveal cold solder joints, faulty crimps, recessed pins, pin contact contamination, improper wire gauge, and stress-extruded wire. This option may be purchased with any new HVX tester, or added as an upgrade to any of your existing HVX testers.

High Voltage Switching Systems

HXV Series

Cytec Corp.

HXV Series - Cytec Corp.

HXV products are high voltage systems intened for Hi-pot / IR or High voltage switching. They can be configured to drive from 32 to 128 switch points per chassis and can be configured as multiplexer (1xN) or Matrix (NxM) configurations. Stand HXV chassis are used for signals up to 5000 VAC rms ( 7400 V peak ) and can carry up to 5 amps of current. Custom systems can be built up to 25KV. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers or 2x4 matrix modules that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. Connector options for standard HXV include 5 way banaba jacks / binding posts, Shrouded Banana Jacks or SHV ( High voltage BNC) if you need to use a high voltage cable with a grounded shield for safety applications. Control options include 10/100BaseT Ethernet LAN, RS232, GPIB or optional manual control. Standard HXV systems use high voltage reed relays. Custom HXV systems up to 25KV use application specific relays and connectors from a variety of vendors based on required specifications.

HV AC Voltage Test Systems

Fivestar HV Testing Equipment Co., Ltd.

Fivestar HV Testing Equipment Co., Ltd.

FSHV offers three different types of AC voltage test systems, the conventional type is AC test transformer design, mainly for testing objects of medium & low capacitance products, particularly for tests requiring stable voltage even if the load changes under voltage (corona, wet & pollution tests) or when the load is inductive (like inductive voltage transformers). Another is AC resonant test systems, according to series resonance circuit XL=XC (2πfL=1/2πfC), by setting F frequency of power supply or L inductance of reactor, generate a pure sinusoidal waveform of the test voltage, and the required input power is only 1/Q. Variable frequency type operates in a frequency range from 20Hz to 300Hz, ideal for field commissioning test of power cables and GIS/GIL. Variable inductance type outputs continuous AC voltage of power frequency (50/60Hz), mainly for factory testing of high and ultra-high voltage cables, power transformers, GIS, etc.

Field thermal needle system for thermal resistivity / conductivity measurement

FTN01

-

Hukseflux Thermal Sensors B.V.

FTN01 - Hukseflux Thermal Sensors B.V.

The FTN01 Field Thermal Needle System allows performing fast, on-site measurements of the thermal resistivity or conductivity of soils, in particular around the typical depth of burial of high voltage cables. FTN01 is designed with a focus on robustness and saving time, while still offering sufficient accuracy for typical field measurements. The sensor is a Non-Steady-State Probe (NSSP), TP09, which is mounted at the tip of the Lance LN01. The system is operated using a hand-held Control and Readout Unit CRU01.
