The AdjustaBON competes with the Flying Prober. There are many advantages over the flying prober. Setup is simple and intuitive and can be much quicker than programming a flying prober. Small size provides versatile bench top operation right where you need it. Maintenance costs are insignificant in comparison. The total cost of this fixture is in many cases less than the yearly maintenance cost of a flying prober. It would be possible to buy one of these fixtures every year for the price paid just to maintain one flying prober and it is about 1/20th the purchase price

PXI 5A Fault Insertion Switch 5-Channel

The 40-196 is a 10 Channel 5A Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Shorting relays on each channel enable UUT signals to be subjected to external user applied fault conditions or to be shorted to the adjacent signal in the same channel. Relays in line with the signal allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a channel signal pair. The switching topology of the 40-196 allows channels to be interconnected so that complex fault insertion systems can be constructed.

Becker Transponder Test Fixture

This transponder test fixture is specific to the requirements for testing Becker Avionics Transponders and provides interface connectors for both the panel mount and remote systems. The panel also provides switches to implement Gillham code altitude as well as separate interfaces for an external parallel or serial encoder. The panel will interface with the RMU 5000 or standard control head. This fixture also comes with voltage and current meters along with an internal dimming source. This panel comes in the standard 19 inch rack width and measures 12 inches in depth.

Heavy boards can bend and break exposed test pins. Similarly large boards which need to be probed by very small delicate test pins can also benefit from this protected test fixture design. This fixture is recommended in situations where there is a high board mass to pin size ratio and pin protection is required. Front and rear panel modular inserts allow for easy updates and customizations to the user hardware interface.

The N1427A is designed to operate specifically with the B2985B/87B Electrometer/High Resistance Meter. It comes with a separate triaxial (special screw-type) female connector and a High Voltage BNC (special type) female connector. This allows terminal configuration to be converted to any other configuration. Therefore, custom test fixture can easily be constructed. The N1413A High Resistance Meter Fixture Adapter is also required to connect the N1427A to the B2985B/87B.

Valiant 153M is a GB-GRAM/GB-GRAM-M (GB-GRAM/M) interface card that allows the simultaneous operation and testing of a commercial- off-the-shelf (COTS) receiver and a GB-GRAM/M. Both receivers are powered and communicate using a single USB mini cable. By integrating a COTS receiver onto the Valiant 153M, users can perform cross-checks to determine if the military receiver is connected and communicating data properly. Both receivers communicate via the onboard USB mini or RS-232 serial connectors. The Valiant test fixture was designed to be nearly the same size as the GB-GRAM/M type I card.

Design for Test analysis is extremely important in ensuring that an assembly will achieve the highest possible test coverage. For ICT, this DFT will review the board to confirm that the bed-of-nails test fixture can be fabricated to test an assembly without sacrificing test coverage. The primary design focus for this fixture is ease in applying engineering changes and resilience to the abuse of applying multiple engineering changes without damage.
