Potentiostats control a voltage and measure a resulting current. The Control Amplifier outputs power to the counter electrode (also called auxiliary electrode). A feedback loop is established to control the cell potential between the reference and working electrode. This voltage is measured by the input electrometer, that has a high impedance. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.
