This unit is designed to measure DC voltage between the negative return rail and overhead positive cantenary conductor used on transit systems. The five position selector switch located on the face, controls OFF, ON, and Test. The OFF positions are for storage and transit. The ON position is for measurements from 0 to 1999 volts with one-volt resolution. The T position tests basic meter functions and the digital display.

The 4000C/D is an air-driven directional gyro with A.C. autopilot pickoffs. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation. Two knobs control the gyro. The left knob is used to cage the unit, and the right knob is used to select the instrument’s heading. To change course, the right selector knob is pressed and turned to disengage the dial shaft and set the pointer to a new heading. Releasing the selector knob re-engages the pointer with the dial shaft. As the aircraft turns onto a new course, the pointer returns to its original position. The on-course position of the pointer is always at the top of the azimuth circle (0° on the dial with the aircraft headed north).

Universal Heading and Track Selector Panel This panel provides a synchro transmitter for Heading and a synchro resolver for Nav converter alignment. The synchros are mounted on industry standard 18:1 dual speed drives for maximum accuracy and repeatability. This unit can be used to calibrate both manual and automatic converters. This panel provides a rear mounted interface connector as well as front mounted tip jacks for independent breakout if so desired. The TA-260 also provides two discrete switches associated with the resolver configuration. The 30Hz/400Hz switch is provided to allow the resolver to be properly compensated for the type of Nav converter to be aligned. The second switch allows you to open or short the resolver rotor lead as may be required by some newer GPS equipment. This panel is lightweight enough for portable use or may be rack mounted.

Taking up significantly less space on the rail by being up to 44% slimmer than current generation DIN rail power supplies, the 30 Watt DPC30 measures just 90.0 x 100.0 x 22.5 mm (3.6 x 3.94 x 0.89 inches). Also, the 50 Watt DPC50 measures 90.0 x 100.0 x 30.0 mm (3.6 x 3.94 x 1.18 inches) and the 70 Watt DPC70 measures only 90.0 x 100.0 x 40.5 mm (3.6 x 3.95 x 1.59 inches). Offering all the popular nominal output voltages from + 5 to + 48 VDC, the single output can be adjusted up to + 30% of stated nominal, model dependant, in order to accommodate non-standard voltage requirements or to make up for line losses.
