PLD Systems
Pulsed Laser Deposition
Is a versatile thin film deposition technique. A pulsed laser (~20 ns pulse width) rapidly evaporates a target material forming a thin film that retains target composition. This unique ability of stoichiometeric transfer of target composition into the film was realized first by the research team led by Dr. Venkatesan at Bell Communications Research, NJ, USA, nearly 30 years ago while depositing high temperature superconducting (YBa2Cu3O7) thin films. Since then, PLD has become the preferred deposition technique where ever thin films of complex material compositions are considered. Another unique feature of PLD is its ability for rapid prototyping of materials. The energy source (pulsed laser) being outside the deposition chamber, facilitates a large dynamic range of operating pressures (10-10 Torr to 500 Torr) during material synthesis. By controlling the deposition pressure and substrate temperature and using relatively small target sizes, a variety of atomically controlled nano-structures and interfaces can be prepared with unique functionalities.

Phase ID Systems
LED Meter Probe allows the user to take Real time Phase Angle readings along with AC nominal voltage readings. A PD800W LED Meter Probe works in conjunction with the Receive Unit to verify phase identification along with the actual phase angle data. This is all done without any calculations or data transfer from the field to a base computer. The meter probe and reference probe or receive unit can operate at 100 feet of separation and up to 300 feet line of sight separation. In the event that this distance would need to be greater, the Receive Unit can be unplugged from the charging cable and taken into the field while operating on it's rechargeable batteries for up to 8 hours at a time.

A sample introduction system such as the ASXpress® Plus from Teledyne LABS reduces the time required for autosampler movement, sample uptake, stabilization, and rinse operations, thereby reducing sample run times significantly. A highspeed vacuum pump loads the sample and flushes the sample uptake path substantially faster than a conventional peristaltic pump.When coupled to a compatible autosampler, the ASXPRESS Plus Rapid Sample Introduction Accessory minimizes times for sample delivery, stabilization, and washout with ICP-AES or ICP-MS. The PacketStorm CRS is a packet capture and replay system with hardware time stamping at 10Gbps. The user specifies which packets to capture based on the filter parameters. The SMGS AXIe-0 module is a 14-port unmanaged Ethernet switch.
