The PDA 1252 is a portable power quality analyzer designed to monitor, isolate and troubleshoot power system disturbances. Using our advanced analysis software, the Communicator EXT application, view real time data presented in a simple and powerful format. Maximize the Communicator EXT application's power with the optional AiReports to generate disturbance solutions and advanced power reports. The unit is ideal for load surveys, program, monitoring transformer banks and indoor/outdoor electrical monitoring. The PDA 1252 Power Quality Analyzer is mounted in its own watertight carrying case and uses watertight connectors to connect voltage and current leads. Based on the Nexus 1252 platform, the PDA 1252 is easy to use and operate.

CHNO Combustion Services

Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen are determined using a 2400 Perkin-Elmer CHN Analyzer. This analyzer uses combustion to convert the sample elements to simple gasses, i.e. CO2, H2O, & N2. Upon entering the analyzer, the sample is combusted in pure oxygen environment at temperatures in the range of 1200-1500 F. The product gasses are separated under steady state conditions, and measured as a function of thermal conductivity.

New IEC standards, IEC 60034-18-41 and IEC 60034-18-42, have been issued to define the procedures for testing partial discharge inception voltage and the long-term performance (endurance) of Type I and Type II insulation systems used in rotating machines fed from voltage converters. Voltage impulse generators are required at least to test turn insulation, but they would be recommended for any testing under power electronics supply because of their capability to simulate the real electrical stress conditions. More generally, any type of electrical insulation system when subject to impulsive voltage waveform during life should be carefully evaluated in terms of partial discharge and endurance behaviour. This is why voltage impulse generators able to provide impulses with controlled amplitude and frequency are needed to face this new testing challenge.
