Galvanic Isolation Amplifier

The X005 Galvanic Isolation Amplifier provides a regulated and resistively limited +5V dc power supply required by the sensors, it can be connected in three or five wire modes. Used in five wire mode positive and negative sense inputs enable the X005 to dynamically adjust the sensor supply thus ensuring the correct voltage across the sensor. Connected in this way the X005 can compensate for 15 conductor resistance. The sense terminals are linked internally so the end user can use the X005 in three wire or five wire mode without the need to fit or remove external links.

The device supports four radiating elements, single beam transmit, and single beam receive and includes all requisite beam steering controls for 6 bit phase and gain control. The Model N300 is a microprocessor-controlled analyzer based on the Beer-Lambert law that is used to determine the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in a sample gas.The N300 uses Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) to overcome the interfering effects of various other gases (such as water vapor) that also absorb Infrared (IR) light. The analyzer passes the IR light beam through a spinning wheel made up of two separate chambers: one containing a high concentration of CO known as the reference, and the other containing a neutral gas known as the measure. The concentration of CO in the sample chamber is computed by taking the ratio of the instantaneous measure and reference values and then compensating the ratio for sample temperature and pressure.

The module provides 8 measurement channels, and can be programmed for interfacing to 2, 3, and 4-wire platinum RTD sensor configurations. The 4-wire mode (default) is the most accurate, providing excellent stability and repeatability. The RTD channels feature individual A/D converters and precision excitation/current drive. Programmable lead-wire compensation is provided for inherently less accurate 2 and 3-wire configurations. All RTD channels are self-aligning because each channel is automatically "aligned" on a rotating basis to eliminate offset and gain errors throughout the operating envelope. Programmability for expected resistance range and wire modes allows for optimization of scaling/resolution, as well as flexibility in reading many RTD types.
