It is an advanced and compact pulsed IV-curve characterization system designed to simulate pulsed ESD events such as TLP, vf-TLP, HMM, HBM, EFT, and LV-Surge. It will monitor the transient voltage and current waveform during the pulse in ps or ns segment, and test the pre- and post-pulse status (leakage current, breakdown voltage, biasing current, static IV curve, etc) of the device under test (DUT), such as protection devices, semiconductors, circuit modules, touch panel sensor, etc.

The Waveform Generation Tool provides a simplified interface for baseband modulation of Keysight's wide bandwidth signal simulation solutions, for signals with up to 1 GHz RF bandwidth. Even the most complex signals are defined and implemented easily through the software interface. Signals can be defined through basic parameter entry or from files created in MATLAB or other engineering environments. For each selection in the main menu, a subsequent screen appears, enabling the user to enter the parameters required to define the waveform and invoke the built-in calibration routines. A display on each sub-panel shows the ideal frequency domain waveform calculated from entered parameters. A simulation mode is provided to enable development and operation without connection to the instrument hardware.
