Users of Trimble Construction Siteworks software are now able to easily measure water depth and execute accurate small-scale hydrographic surveys. Ohmex Ltd has made use of the Siteworks Software Developers Kit (SDK) to produce a software utility that runs on the controller and supplies depth data to Siteworks. This increment in functionality further enhances the use of the Siteworks system on marine construction sites where dams or waterways are present.The concept of the Sonar extension to Siteworks is to enable the construction user to execute simple Hydrographic surveys using their Siteworks software together with existing positioning equipment, no need to learn another package or convert to new reporting facilities, the sonar effectively behaves as an extension to the existing survey detail pole for measuring water depth. Arbitrary Waveform Generator
The M4i.66xx-x8 series arbitrary waveform generators (AWG) deliver the highest performance in both speed and resolution. The series includes PCIe cards with either one, two or four synchronous channels. The large onboard memory can be segmented to replay different waveform sequences. The AWG features a PCI Express x8 Gen 2 interface that offers outstanding data streaming performance. The interface and Spectrum’s optimized drivers enable data transfer rates in excess of 2.8 GB/s so that signals can continuously replayed at a high output rate. While the cards have been designed using the latest technology they are still software compatible with the drivers from earlier Spectrum waveform generators. So, existing customers can use the same software they developed for a 10 year old 20 MS/s AWG card and for an M4i series 625 MS/s AWG.

ATS-GPU is a software framework developed by AlazarTech to allow users to do real-time signal processing using an Open CL compatible Graphical Processing Unit (GPU). Input to the GPU can either come from an AlazarTech PCI Express waveform digitizer or from user-supplied data. Fundamentally, ATS-GPU solves the problem of transferring data from a waveform digitizer to a GPU at very high speeds. A floating point FFT routine built into ATS-GPU has been benchmarked at 235,000 FFTs per second for 2048 points on one input. Ideal for Optical Coherence Tomography (SS-OCT). Benchmarks also showed that users can keep up with 500 MS/s sampling on one channel for 2048 point streaming FFTs.
