The U113AD charger is a fully integrated AC or DC powered charger capable of charging up to 150W. The built-in AC power supply allows the charger to be powered from a 110V wall socket at home or in the shop. The included DC input power plugs can be connected to a 12V lead-acid/gel cell batteries for charging at the field or track. The U113AD has the ability to charge, discharge and cycle Lithium (LiPo, LiIo, LiFe) packs up to 8 cells, NiCad and NiMH packs up to 26 cells, and Lead Acid batteries up to 36V. This is 12V higher than most battery chargers at this price point and is extremely useful for 36V applications such as E-bikes and scooters!

National RF’s Type NDB-2 and NDB-3 RF Milliwatt Meters are affordable pieces of test equipment for both the RF laboratory and the home experimenter. Both provide a digital reading of RF power in dB reference 1 milliwatt of power into a 50 ohm load (i.e. 0 dBm). The circuitry consists of a low noise logarithmic amplifier that drives a digital A/D converting meter circuit. The lowest power levels that can be read are about –73 dBm (approximately 40 microvolts or .00000003 milliwatts). The maximum power input should not exceed 10 milliwatts (+10 dBm or .010 watts) when inputed without attenuation. An internal attenuator is provided and described in the next section.

As opposed to incremental encoders, the A2 reports the absolute position rather than the change in position. When powered up, it does not require a home cycle, even if the shaft was rotated while the power was off. In multi-turn mode, it tracks the position in a 32-bit counter as long as the power supply is maintained. Internally, an infrared LED flashes through a circular bar code onto a linear array sensor.
