For example, the device can simultaneously report 80 wavelength values of 80 channels at 50 GHz channel spacing with the wavelength accuracy ± 2 GHz. DPRAM, RS-232, or USB interfaces are available and OWM can be customized to meet specific requirements.

Opening the cover to a vertical position connects the antenna terminals to the receiver via maintenance-free gold-plated contacts. An interlock switch prevents inadvertent battery discharge when the cover is closed.
