Millimeter Wave Amplifiers
Ducommun offers Low Noise (ALN), High Power (AHP), Full Waveguide Band (AFB) and General Purpose (AGP) amplifiers to cover the frequency range from 18 to 96 GHz. These amplifiers utilize thin-film and microelectronics manufacturing techniques and are discrete and/or MMIC PHEMT devices based. These amplifiers feature low noise, high output power, single DC power supply and wide operation temperature range. The amplifiers are offered in two categories, standard and custom-built. Both standard and custom-built amplifiers are equipped with various RF interface, including standard waveguide or coaxial connector for convenient system integration. The optional input and output integrated isolators are available as an option to further improve the port return loss.

23 GHz Low Noise Amplifier
HMMC-5023
The HMMC-5023 is a GaAs MMIC low noise amplifier designed for moderate gain and low noise from 21 GHz to over 30 GHz. Typical applications of the HMMC-5023 include digital radio communications systems that operate within the 21.2 GHz to 23.6 GHz and 24.5 GHz to 26.5 GHz frequency bands. Moderate gain and low noise temperature make it ideally suited as a front-end gain stage.

HMC7885
The HMC7885 is a 32 W gallium nitride (GaN), monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier (PA) module that operates between 2 GHz and 6 GHz, and is provided in an 18-lead hermetically sealed module. The amplifier typically provides 21 dB of small signal gain and 45 dBm of saturated radio frequency (RF) output power. The amplifier draws 2200 mA of quiescent current (IDD) from a 28 V dc supply. The RF input and output are dc blocked and matched to 50 Ω for ease of use.
