Capacitor Tester

The MIG0603CAP consists of two circuits with impulse capacitance 20 µF and 0,25 µF. Both circuits generate a voltage wave shape 1,2/50 µs and are combined in a 4 unit height 19" rack. The generator circuits are defined in IEC 60384-14 and EN 132400. The serial resistors Rs, the impulse capacitor CT, and the load capacitance Cp will be automatically switched when different capacitance ranges are selected on the MIG0603CAP.

Designed for testing telecom surge protection devices according to ITU-T K12. The generator has two indepedent impulse outputs which allow testing of two and three terminal protection devices such as gas discharge tubes (GDT). The generator can be configured for two terminal devices or with the outputs in parallel to increase the current impulse for two terminal devices.

Active flammability test system according to IEC 60384-14 Ed4. For testing X & Ycapacitors up to 1uF. The test system includes control of the nominal AC supply via an integrated variac up to 1800V. Impulse amplitudes are programmable up to 8kV which covers all requirements. X1 capacitors are stressed up to 4kV, X2 and Y4 capacitors up to 2.5kV and Y2 capacitors up to 5kV.
