Millimeter Wave Continuously Variable Waveguide Attenuators
Our millimeter wave variable waveguide attenuators allow designers and engineers to test their systems at various signal strengths and attenuation values to determine the optimum signal performance of the system. The key feature of these waveguide attenuators is that the attenuation level is adjusted using a built-in micrometer which enables repeatable and rapid re-setting to different attenuation levels without the need for additional external components. Our waveguide attenuators handle varying attenuation levels from 0 to 30 dB over the specified band allowing the designer to tune the attenuation level needed for the application. These continuously variable waveguide attenuators cover a broad frequency range of 33 to 110 GHz in five bands and also display flat performance across a wide band with low insertion loss.

Waveguide Twists
Fairview Microwave’s precision waveguide twists operate from 18 to 110 GHz across seven frequency bands with waveguide sizes ranging from WR-42 (18 GHz) to WR-10 (110 GHz). Our portfolio of waveguide twists feature gold plated brass construction that offers excellent electrical performance with VSWR as low as 1.02:1 and insertion loss as low as 0.2 dB. Both 45° and 90° waveguide twists are available from stock, with the 45° versions being available in both right hand and left hand twist configurations. Bi-Directional Amplifiers
Fairview’s bi-directional amplifier models are designed for use in both commercial and military applications and will support any signal type and modulation format such as 3G and 4G telecom, WLAN, OFDM, DVB and CW/AM/FM. Fairview’s bi-directional amplifiers offer high power density, efficiency and linearity in small lightweight environmentally sealed packages with SMA connectors. These units also feature a quick-connect circular locking connector for DC and control functions and each design uses a single voltage supply with voltage regulation.

Digitally Controlled Programmable Attenuators
Broadband frequencies ranging from 30 MHz to 40 GHz. High attenuation levels up to 60 dB. PIN diode designs exhibit extremely fast attenuation step switching performance. Attenuation step size ranges from 0.03 dB to 1 dB. Programmable attenuator control bit sizes range from 5 to 10 bits. Models powered and command controlled via 15 pin female Micro-D socket or USB interface.

Broadband Calibrated Noise Sources
Fairview Microwave’s calibrated noise sources cover frequency bands from 10 KHz to 18 GHz. Their performance specifications include output ENR levels ranging from 15 dB to 30 dB and typical VSWR levels as low as 1.25:1. Depending on the model, calibrated frequency points are at 10 MHz, 100 MHz, 1000 MHz, 2000 MHz and 1 GHz steps. The temperature coefficient of these noise sources is < 0.01 dB/°C and noise output variation is < 0.1 dB/%V.
