The Smart SE from HORIBA Scientific is a versatile spectroscopic ellipsometer for fast and accurate thin film measurements. It characterizes thin film thickness from a few Angstroms to 20µm, optical constants (n,k), and thin film structure properties (such as roughness, optical graded and anisotropic layers, etc).The spectral range from 450 to 1000nm is measured in a few seconds and ellipsometric data are analyzed using the DeltaPsi2 software platform. HORIBA Scientific, as Jobin Yvon has pioneered the design and development of pulse compression gratings using holographic techniques. By carefully designing the grating groove parameters, gold-coated pulse compression gratings can achieve typically diffraction average efficiencies as high as 94% at 800 nm (TiSa), 910 nm (OPCPA), 1030 nm (Ytterbium), 1 053 nm (Nd glass) or 1.55 µm. In addition, the holographic manufacturing technique can produce very large gratings that demonstrate an excellent uniformity and quality of the diffracted wavefront.

The CS-131 is a high-precision chemical concentration monitor designed for use with SC-1 solutions used in cleaning processes during semiconductor manufacturing. It offers a faster response speed in a more compact size than anything available to date. The CS-131 monitors the concentrations of the individual components of the SC-1 solutions (NH3/H2O2/H2O) which is widely used to remove particles and organic substances. The monitor has a number of outputs which can be utilized to keep the concentrations of the individual elements of the SC-1 solutions within the allowable ranges; this eliminates unnecessary replacement of chemicals potentially increasing bath life time and reducing chemical cost. In addition, a model with an integrated cooling unit is available, allowing accommodation of a broader range of sample temperatures.
