The bi-directional feature of this module is ideal for wide range of applications. In combination with an optionally built-in circulator or C/L-band WDM coupler, this module can be applied to the WDM-PON test. LD Driver slot module of FOTS system is an efficient module that is user centered, which can drive various kinds of laser diode for the use of optical signal transmission or light source. The module has a built in LD socket, in which LD of 14 pin butterfly type is installed, which makes it possible for the user to change the LD he or she wants to drive when needed. It is leaded to get rid of the inefficiency of expense, at which various types of expensive united source module needed are purchased. By operating monitoring PD and high-performance processor that are installed inside the module, the output power and temperature of LD can be driven accurately and stably. The laser diodes can be modulated internally in square, sinusoidal, and triangular waves and its output power and temperature can also be maintained the level set by the user. In order to realize the various functions, the efficient and multi-functioned control programs with high speed processor, LCD monitor or GUI for remote control are available.

And its MEMS type switch module is bidirectional and transparent to signal format. It is remarkable that high speed switching and various driving program such as timed, manual or sequential switching mode are available through the combination of high speed response time switch and high speed FPGA processor. On the basis of less than 1ms switching time and 10ms minimum switching, high speed sequential switching can be installed easily by defining switching order, interval time and duration. Current switching channel status can be checked through LED fronted with slot, and present driving condition of optical switch can also be monitored through GOI or LCD monitor.
