Depending on device type and area of application, our modular connection units offer variable interfaces that enable simple connection of the devices directly to the fieldbus and thus ensure simple integration of new devices in the system.

DDLS 200 with 2 Mbit/s Transmission Rate

Optical data transmission for RS interfaces and fieldbuses up to 300 m and up to 2 Mbit/s. Infrared data transmission protects the DDLS 200 from interference. Systems are available for all common industrial fieldbus interfaces. The ranges are stepped and reach a maximum transmission distance of 300 m. Low ambient light sensitivity through special FSK method. Available interfaces: PROFIBUS, Interbus and CAN/DeviceNet, as well as RS422 and RS 485.

Safety Switches

The safety switches of the S20 and S200 series with their robust housings and wide range of installation options can be used universally. The S300 position switches monitor the reaching of final positions. Variants with plunger and various actuators enable optimum adaptation to the installation situation. The S400 safety hinge switches unite the safety switch and door hinge functions in one component.

Sensors for Contour Measurement

The CMS 700i 3D contour measurement system detects the length, width, height, deformations and position of any objects as they pass by, independent of their shape and surface. Even polybags are reliably detected. The complete system includes all components for operation and installation under one part number. In contrast, light section sensors record a height profile along a projected laser line. This allows objects to be detected with high resolution in multiple dimensions. The integrated functions range from presence control to edge measurement and 3D object measurement.

The world's first safety bar code positioning system, FBPS 600i, requires just one sensor for safe position detection. The device is connected to a safe evaluation unit – e.g. a frequency inverter – via two SSI interfaces and is suitable for applications up to performance level PL e. This allows easy implementation of safety functions and a reduction in space and installation requirements.
