Power Meters and Calibration Cells
The Solar Reference Cell consist of a 20 x 20 mm monocrystalline silicon Photovoltaic Cell encased in a 92 x 70 x 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).The Solar Reference Cells come with a Certificate of Calibration and compatible set of connecting cables. The following parameters of the reference cell are certified: Isc, Imax, Voc, Vmax, Pmax, Area, Fill Factor and Efficiency. The certification is accredited by NIST to the ISO-17025 standard and is traceable both to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and to the International System of Units (SI). A compatible cable set is also supplied with each Solar Reference Cell.

Highly Collimated Solar Simulators
This solar simulator is based on a Fresnel lens to collimate the light beam from the arc lamp source to infinity, which results in highly collimated illumination of the target spot. A 2.5kW xenon ozone free lamp is used as the light source. The spectral distribution of the xenon light source, along with the use of specially calibrated AirMass filters, closely simulates the sun’s true spectral distribution in various conditions on Earth.

Current-Voltage Measurement System
The SSIVT is an electrical current-voltage measurement system used to characterize photovoltaic cell performance. This current-voltage tester works by sampling various current versus voltage combinations of the photovoltaic cell with a variable impedence load. The performance of the photovoltaic cell is determined by measuring this output I-V relationship while it is being illuminated.

FIber Based Solar Simulator
Provides up to 12 suns class B non-uniformity over a 12.5 mm diameter with the A4 Light Line and class C uniformity can be achieved over 18mm diameter both with a working distance of 25 cm. Provides up to 4 suns class B non-uniformity over a 12.5 mm diameter with the A1 Light Line with a working distance of 25 cm.

Far Infrared Systems
Far-Infrared and terahertz (THz) radiation is the spectral region at the long wavelength end of the infrared and the short end of the microwave region, also known as the sub-millimeter wavelength spectral region. Recently, there has been an explosion of interest in THz applications as the radiation generated can penetrate various materials. Solar Simulation
Sciencetech solar simulators produce high intensity, uniform illumination on a target area. Typically, high power solar simulators use an ellipsoidal reflector to capture light from an arc lamp source inside the reflector, an arrangement that results in a light pattern with a bright outer region and a dark center. This non-uniformity is un- acceptable in many solar simulator applications and as a result, forces many of our solar simulator competitors to use designs involving diffusers to reduce the non-uniformity. This results in a reduction of intensity and a dis- tortion of the spectrum on the target area.

Sciencetech''s proprietary fully reflective design uses metal coated mirrors and passes the whole spectrum, no compromise. Current-Voltage Measurement System
Sciencetech''s IV Testers are electrical current-voltage measurement systems used to characterize photovoltaic cell performance. This current-voltage tester works by sampling various current versus voltage combinations of the photovoltaic cell with a variable impedence load.This IV Test system can measure electrical power from photovoltaic cells up to 20W. The voltage envelope is limited to 20V and the current to 1A. A higher power version, up to 60W, is available. In general, the limitation on this model is the 1A current limit: if your solar cell generates more than 1A, we recommend upgrading to the 60W version.
