This is an eight-, four-, or two-port, asynchronous, serial communication board designed for use on the PC/104 bus. It supports RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 communications. The board may be installed in any standard PC/104 stack. Connections are made via two 40 pin IDC type right angle connectors. Common applications include POS, gaming systems, machine monitoring, military and high-density networking.Type 16780 UARTS are used as the asynchronous communication elements.

PCI-DIO-120
The PCI-DIO-120, PCI-DIO-96 and PCI-DIO-72 are parallel digital input/output cards designed for use in PCI-Bus computers. The same printed circuit board is used for all three models and is populated for 120 bits, 96 bits and 72 bits respectively. Available in 4-port and 2-port versions, each port is capable of communication speeds up to 921.6kbps in RS-232 (differential modes support speeds as high as 3Mbps) and has 128-byte deep transmit and receive FIFOs. Large FIFOs protect against data loss in multitasking operating systems, reduce CPU utilization, and improve data throughput, while reducing or eliminating inter-character or inter-packet pauses. The advanced integrated circuit with pre-scalar supports a wide variety of custom baud rates, and any rates not otherwise achievable can be supported via a custom factory-installed crystal oscillator (up to 10Mbps!).

This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

PCI Express Mini Card Products (mPCIe)
PCI Express Mini Card, commonly abbreviated as mPCIe, or Mini PCIe, is a newer form-factor for PCI Express devices. Designed with the older Mini PCI standard in mind they are the same basic form-factor (commonly used in small-form-factor devices like laptops and other portables) but lack the retention clips of Mini PCI. Unlike the original PCI Express bus, Mini PCIe provides both the standard PCI Express and USB 2.0 signals, allowing flexibility in peripheral design. The PCI-IIRO-8 and PCI-IIRO-16 are low-cost, half-size cards that provide isolated input and output for PCI-Bus computers. The cards have eight or sixteen optically-isolated digital inputs for AC or DC control signals and eight or sixteen electro-mechanical relay outputs. PCI-IIRO-8 occupies four consecutive eight-bit registers in I/O space. PCI-IIRO-16 occupies eight consecutive eight-bit registers in I/O space.
