Watchdog Timer and System Monitor Card
PCIe-WDG-CSMA
This multifunction Low Profile x1 PCI Express card contains a watchdog timer used to monitor the operation of your application program and operating system to initiate a system reset in case of a lockup. It can also monitor and control a variety of system hardware parameters. The card is 6.6 inches long and 2.535 inches seated height. I/O wiring connections are via a female DB25 connector on the card mounting bracket. Two models with increasing features are available.

Digital Input/Output Card
IOD-144
This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

Intelligent A/D I/O Unit
RAD242
Model RAD242 is an intelligent, two-differential-channel, 24-bit analog-input interface unit that includes a Delta-Sigma A/D converter. The converter has a digital output filter with adjustable notch frequency from 10 Hz to 2000 Hz. The pod also has 13 bits of digital input/output. A precision 10 VDC voltage that can be used for transducer excitation is available at connector pin 5. As much as 60 mA current can be provided. It is packaged in a NEMA 4 enclosure for remote installation in harsh environments. RAD242 also provides a user-definable interrupt input and counter/timer input. An optional RAD Firmware Development Kit is available if you wish to use those user-programmable input lines or to develop a custom program.

Serial Data Converters
CONV232/485 and CONV232/422
CONV232/485 and CONV232/422 convert between RS-232 communications (as used by the COM1 and COM2 ports standard on most motherboards) and balanced-mode, long distance RS-485 and RS-422 communications. CONV232/485 was designed for use with our REMOTE ACCES line when there is no RS-485 port on your PC, but may also be used in other, similar applications.
