Multiplexer Module
This range of High-Density Multiplexer is part of our BRIC family. These MUX's are designed to simplify the connection of a common set of test equipment to one of a number of different devices for testing (simultaneous multiple channel selection is also possible, without limitation). These multiplexers are ideal for applications where the equipment needs to conduct the same test process on a series of similar devices one at a time. They are available in a variety of configurations that allow testing with differing number of devices to be tested and different connection widths to suit differing test equipment pin counts. All version are supported in a BRIC8 construction that occupies eight PXI 3U mechanical slots, one of which provides the PXI interface and power.

The 40-874A-001 (PXI) and 42-874A-001 (PXIe) are 50 Ohm 8 to 1 RF multiplexers with 1 bank in a single slot. They have low insertion loss and VSWR through the use of modern RF relay technology at an affordable cost. Each MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics to frequencies of 3GHz with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss.

This compact and economically priced series can be used as either 1xN multiplexers, 2xN matrices, or individual switches. As multiplexers, they can be used as a large number of individual muxes or jumpered together to form as large a mux as you need to switch a large number of inputs or outputs to one common port. As a 2xN matrix they allow you to switch any number of signals between two ports of a DVM, DMM, LCR, or other type of meter or supply. Individual relay modules are available for other configurations requiring discrete SPST or SPDT relays with standard or power relays.

Probe Card Analyzers

The PB1500 is a low cost probe card analyzer system. It has the capability to perform all the tests done on the larger PB3600/6500 probe card analyzers, but at a lower cost for low pincount cards. A maximum of 1,280 channels may be configured in the PB1500 MUX system. The Precision Measurement Unit (PMU) has the same accuracy, repeatability and range as the larger analyzers. The repair process consists of selecting a failing probe, which moves it under the binocular microscope and positions a crosshair over the correct position for that probe.

The 40-667A-012 is a single 6-channel 30A MUX and is part of our range of high current multiplexers occupying two slots of PXI chassis. Each multiplexer switch uses a fully isolated solid state relay which has been designed to offer fast operation under hot switching conditions and high inrush current with no operational life degradation. Each multiplexer channel can support 10A of continuous current and switch up to 200V signals. The switches can sustain inrush currents in excess of 50A. AC or DC signals can be switched since the switch is polarity insensitive.
