Based on the proven architecture of the PE32, the PA32S offers high performance pin electronics and an enhanced timing generator in a compact, 3U PXI form factor. Each card can function as a stand-alone digital subsystem or if required, multiple cards can be interconnected, supporting up to 512 bi-directional pins (16 boards). The PA32S also supports deep pattern memory by offering= 32 M of on-board vector memory with dynamic per pin direction control and with test rates up to 33 MHz. For applications requiring improved bandwidth and crosstalk performance please look at our 40-120 and 40-125 range of shielded reed relay cards. General purpose reed relays are suitable for the construction of small switching networks, slaving up to larger switches or operating external devices (e.g. lamps, solenoids etc.). To simplify inter-relay wiring, interconnection points are built onto the circuit board easing the construction of complicated wiring.

GHz Elastomer Sockets
Ironwood’s GHz BGA & QFN/MLF sockets are ideal for prototyping and testing almost any BGA or QFN device application. These ZIF sockets provide excellent signal integrity yet remain cost effective. Innovative elastomer interconnect technology that delivers low signal loss up to >40GHz and supports BGA or QFN/MLF pitches down to 0.3mm was utilized in these sockets. GHz BGA sockets are mechanically mounted over a target system’s BGA lands using mounting and alignment holes at proper locations (page 2 of the individual socket drawing shows recommended PCB layout information). These low-profile sockets are only 2.5 mm per side larger than actual IC packages (industry’s smallest footprint). They support IC devices with body sizes ranging from 55mm down to 1mm. Larger body sizes may require a backing plate. If the backside of the target PCB contains capacitors and resistors, a custom insulation plate with cavities cut for those components can be designed. This insulation plate sandwiches between the backing plate and target PCB.

The unit is compact and lightweight. The basic system is 7″ wide by 2.5″ high and 12″ long. When measurements are needed below approximately 100 micro-ohm-centimeters, the basic system is piggybacked onto a second enclosure that houses a power amplifier with a current gain of ten. The combined unit measures 7″ wide by 5″ high and 12″ long. The combined unit weighs 11.5 pounds. Two short cables interconnect the two enclosures for powering the power amplifier and routing the signals to the fixture or four point probe. The front panel of the basic system includes a 32-character backlit LCD display and a set of function keys. An easy-to-use menu will allow access to user defined parameters such as sample thickness, sample volume, and calibration constants; upper and lower alarm limits, relative measurements, and several others.

9025 VXI - 25 Module Solution for VXI
The 9025 VXI Receiver is a 25-module solution designed for use with VPC pre-wired interconnect adapters, but can also accommodate a combination of pre-wired interconnect adapters and discrete-wired modules using retainer blocks.1-4 modules attach to an interconnect adapter which in turn is attached to the VXI card. This connector “funnel” forms a complete VXI module, which is easily inserted or removed from the VXI mainframe for maximum flexibility in testing applications. The interconnect adapter also provides room for driver sensors. External cabling to the card is done with a cable clamp or connector located on the top or bottom of the adapter. PXI 5A Fault Insertion Switch 10-Channel

The 40-196 is a 10 Channel 5A Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Shorting relays on each channel enable UUT signals to be subjected to external user applied fault conditions or to be shorted to the adjacent signal in the same channel. Relays in line with the signal allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a channel signal pair. The switching topology of the 40-196 allows channels to be interconnected so that complex fault insertion systems can be constructed.
