Matrix Switch Module
This version of our BRIC is part of a range of high-density PXI matrix modules. These modules are available in 2, 4 or 8 slot PXI sizes to suit all high performance matrix requirements and are constructed using instrumentation quality reed relays. With this high level of switching density, these PXI matrix modules allow a complete Functional ATE system to be housed in a single 3U PXI chassis. These BRIC matrix modules allow the use of lower cost 8 or 14-slot PXI chassis.

Relay Buddy

Relay Buddy is a quick go / no-go tester for the most common automotive relays. It provides you with an indication of the general health and functioning of the relay switch contacts and coil. Relay Buddy will check the control side of the relay by applying a signal to the relay coil while it checks for proper functioning of the relay contacts. Relay Buddy operates the relay several times during each test session as it watches for consistency in every cycle. Relay Buddy will fail the relay and light the RED LED if any one of the cycles proves unsuccessful during the test session.

Model 40-531 very high density matrix modules are configured as a 32x8, while the 40-532 modules are configured as a Dual 16x8. Both modules are available in a choice of reed relay formats: 1-pole, 2-pole and 1-Pole screened. The screened version is suitable for switching coaxial signals up to 50MHz. Typical applications include signal routing in Functional ATE and data acquisition systems. These PXI matrix modules are constructed using high reliability Sputtered Ruthenium Reed Relays, offering 109 operations to give maximum switching confidence with long life and stable contact resistance. Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PXI modules. For example, seven PXI modules will form a 224x8 Matrix, a total of 1792 crosspoints in a 7-slot PXI Chassis.

Devar alarms are designed to accurately monitor process trip-points from current, millivolt, DC volts and thermocouple signals. These alarm points can be easily set in percent of signal or directly in engineering units. The units will constantly monitor the set point against the actual signal and switch a 10 amp SPDT relay when the set point is exceeded. Teledyne Hastings, manufacturer of the original DV-4, DV-5, and DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes, produces vacuum measurement equipment with exceptional stability, accuracy, and reliability under the most demanding conditions.The Teledyne Hastings’ DV-6 series thermocouple vacuum gauge tube acts as a localized sensor which is then paired with a selection of meters or controllers to provide reliable, cost-effective measurements in diverse applications. The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.Thermocouple gauge tubes are calibrated on vacuum systems that contain N2 or Air, but can be used with other gases. Additionally, thermocouple gauges and their controllers can be recalibrated when a replacement thermocouple gauge tube is installed, following instructions in the manual. However, our DB-20 reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. A complete line of installation accessories are also available to simplify the integration of our thermocouple gauge tubes into a variety of vacuum systems.
