Multiplexer Modules for 34980A

The 34980A Multiplexer switches can be used to connect one of many different points to a single point. You can connect to an external instrument or switch multiple analog signals to the 34980A internal DMM. Multiple multiplexers can be connected together via the 4 analog buses to create an even larger multiplexer. The break-before-make feature also ensures that no two signals are connected to each other during a scan. All multiplexer modules also include a relay switch counter to help predict when relays need to be replaced.

The M9101A, a high-density, 64-channel PXI multiplexer routes many different channels to a single point. The switches operate in a break-before-make mode that ensures no two points are connected at the same time or, if needed multiple channels can connect simultaneously. Ideal for routing multiple analog signals to a measurement device in automated test environment (ATE) or data acquisition systems. Each channel switches a high and a low for 2-wire switching up to 100Vrms, with up to 10W of power. Connection options include the durable connector block or the standard cable connections.

If a computer or application fault occurs, the USB-6509 can use digital I/O watchdogs to switch to a configurable safe output state to ensure detection and safe recovery from fault conditions. Programmable input filters eliminate glitches/spikes and provide debouncing for digital switches/relays through a software-selectable digital filter.

This high bandwidth differential fault insertion module is designed to simulate common faults on high speed two wire communication interfaces such as Ethernet. This module supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial connections and can be used for simulating faults on Ethernet, AFDX, BroadR-Reach, 100BaseT and 1000BaseT interfaces. Any wire can be set to an open circuit, shorts can be applied across the wire pair, or to the adjacent pair. Fault connections can be made to one of four external signals via two fault buses, typically simulating connections to a supply voltage or ground. Each fault bus is capable of carrying 2A allowing multiple channels to be connected to the same fault condition. Additionally, each fault bus features a changeover relay to allow the user to connect alternative fault conditions to the fault buses.
