A single-channel silicon-based thermopile that will withstand operating temperatures of 225C, with a small active area of 0.61mm x 0.61mm in a TO-5 package. The reduced height package functions as an internal aperture. Two thermistor options provide ambient package temperature measurement. Currently only available with 8-14um silicon window. Time constant of 18ms with Nitrogen encapsulation gas delivers a very low Temperature Coefficient of Responsivity of -0.4%C. This detector has a very short thermal shock response to ambient temperature change.

We also manufacture miniature rotary sensors such as the P501 and P505 and the P503 flat PCB style version for customer application fitment. The ColorPAL is a miniature color and light sensor which, through its RGB LED, doubles as a color generator. For sensing color, the ColorPAL uses its LED to illuminate a sample, one color component at a time, along with a broad-spectrum light-to-voltage converter to measure the light reflected back. The amount of light reflected from the sample under illumination from each red, green, and blue LED can be used to determine the sample’s color. The ColorPAL works with non-fluorescent reflective surfaces, preferably those in contact with its light shroud.

Lake Shore germanium resistance temperature sensors are recognized as “Secondary Standard Thermometers” and have been employed in the measurement of temperature from 0.05 K to 30 K for nearly 40 years. Germanium sensors have a useful temperature range of about two orders of magnitude. The exact range depends upon the doping of the germanium element. Cryogenic temperature sensors with ranges from below 0.05 K to 100 K are available. Between 100 K and 300 K, dR/dT changes sign, and dR/dT above 100 K is very small for all models. Sensor resistance varies from several ohms at its upper useful temperature to several tens of kilohms at its lower temperature.
