Particle Counters
A particle counter is a useful tool for monitoring indoor air quality (IAQ) in clean rooms and workplaces, as a particle counter measures the concentration of particles in the air. While a particle counter won't identify specifically what kinds of dusts or particulates are present in the air, a particle counter will identify how many airborne particles of a certain size are present in the environment. The Model N901 is a near-continuous hydrocarbon gas analyzer that measures the concentration of Methane (CH4) and Total Hydrocarbons (THC) in air. The concentration of the non-Methane (NMHC) component is calculated by the subtraction of CH4 from THC, with high sensitivity and accuracy. The hydrocarbons are measured using a Flame Ionization Detector (FID), in combination with gas chromatography (GC). The instruments range and performance are tuned specifically for use in ambient air quality monitoring assessments.

The probe measures the carbon dioxide concentration in air. It’s indicated for checking and monitoring the indoor air quality. Typical applications are the check of the air quality in all the buildings where there is a crowd of people (schools, hospitals, auditoria, canteens, etc.), in the working places to optimize the comfort. CO2 measurement is obtained with an infrared special sensor (NDIR technology: Non-Dispersive Infrared Technology) that, thanks to the use of a double filter and a special measurement technique, warranties precise, stable and long-term measurements. The air to check is spread inside the measurement chamber through the protection membrane placed at the top of the probe.
