Solid State GaN (Gallium Nitride) Amplifiers
Fairview Microwave’s solid state GaN (Gallium Nitride) power amplifiers (also called SSPAs) feature broad frequency bands ranging from 30 MHz to 7.5 GHz and very high gain levels from 43 to 60 dB. These GaN SSPAs also show impressive harmonic response (-15 to -20 dBc) under worst case conditions. Saturated output power levels range from 10W to 100W with 20% to 35% Power Added Efficiency (PAE). The TIA-4000 is comprised of a fibre coupled InGaAs APD detector combined with a variable reverse bias voltage network and fast transimpedance amplifier. The output of the unit is brought out to a type K female SMA connector. Light falling on the detector generates a positive-going proportional current. This current, multiplied by the transimpedance produces a voltage that is proportional to the light incident on the detector surface.

Single Channel Potentiostats
Potentiostats control a voltage and measure a resulting current. The Control Amplifier outputs power to the counter electrode (also called auxiliary electrode). A feedback loop is established to control the cell potential between the reference and working electrode. This voltage is measured by the input electrometer, that has a high impedance. This current is then measured between the working and counter electrodes while this potential is maintained at the working electrode and reference electrode.

Basic Quad K-Type Analog Thermocouple Amplifier

Analog thermocouple amplifier board based on the AD849x from Analog Devices (successor of the AD597). This quad-channel thermocouple board converts the very low voltage signal from a thermocouple to a highly-linear, 0.005V/C output with either 0V or 1.245V offset (both configurations stocked) while removing unwanted noise from the signal. Many supply and output configurations are available with this board, though the PCB was designed with Arduino in mind. Specifically, the output header will plug directly into a standard Arduino Uno or Mega, with a pin-for-pin match for power supply, ground and analog outputs. With a 5V Arduino, temperatures from 0C to 1,000C are possible with the 0V offset board and -249C to 750C with the 1.245V offset board. If using a 3.3V microcontroller (Due, etc), the board must be supplied with no more than 3.3V to avoid damaging the microcontroller. Temperature measurement range is dependent on the supply voltage. It is possible to supply the board with higher voltages to allow temperature measurement over the entire operating range of the K-Type and J-Type thermocouples, allowing use with more capable data acquisition equipment.

Low Voltage DC / Battery Powered High Voltage Amplifiers
WMA-005 And WMA-005LF
The Falco Systems WMA-005 is a high voltage amplifier that runs from an 24 - 30V DC power supply and can be battery powered if required, e.g. for use in a Faraday cage. Its internal high voltage generator is inductor-free and hence does not spread magnetic interference in sensitive experimental setups. The output noise is impressively low at 3mVrms. For extremely low noise applications where bandwidth is not an issue, a dedicated WMA-005LF version is available that contains an output low pass filter capacitor which reduces the bandwidth to 50Hz, but makes the noise drop to below 0.1mVrms. This bandwidth-limited amplifier is ideal for MEMS or piezo positioning with manual voltage adjustment.
