The Durham is a high-performance, highly-mobile and easy to emplace Medium Range Day/Night Wireless Surveillance System using a state of the art day camera and a cooled, highly sensitive 640x480 InSb Focal Plane Array thermal camera with 8X continuous optical zoom. The system is image stabilized and has automatic tracking of targets. Each system consists of a Base Station and one Remote Station which can be emplaced up to 5km away for wireless operation or within 500m for fiber optic operation. A single Base Station can monitor and control up to four (4) Remote Stations. The system is powered by a generator, batteries, solar (supplemental power), or vehicle power. Other options available are laser pointers, designators, and a vehicle integration kit.

ADQ32-PDRX acquires the input signal via a single connector and uses an onboard splitter to separate the signal into two paths with different gain settings. The high gain path is used to accurately capture low-amplitude portions of the input signal whereas the low gain path ensures the acquisition of high-amplitude peaks without causing saturation. The two signal paths are then combined in real-time inside the onboard field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to create a digitized output with improved performance.PDRX increases the dynamic range by 3 bits and is fully integrated into the digitizer for fast and easy system-level integration. ADQ32-PDRX is therefore comparable with a 16-bit digitizer in terms of dynamic range, but with the benefit of offering a higher sampling rate.

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems has launched this evaluation kit for its Grid-Eye infrared array sensor, which integrates a ”nanopower” Bluetooth Smart module and a microcontroller. The kit is intended for prototyping the Grid-EYE sensor which is a 64 pixel IR camera in a surface mount package measuring 11.6mm x 8mm x 4.3mm, which integrates the MEMS sensor, lens and I2C interface. The integrated Bluetooth module in the evaluation kit, the PAN1740, draws 4.9mA in transmit or receive operating modes, which means it can be powered by coin cell batteries. The IR sensor has 64 thermopile elements in an 8×8 grid format that detect absolute surface temperature without any contact.

Having been assessed by Ford Detroit’s EMC expert, we are Australia’s only Ford (and NATA) accredited automotive EMC test laboratory. Others have tried, but none have succeeded. Ford does not accept reports from EMC labs that are not on the Ford list of accredited labs. The scope ranges from component to complete vehicle level EMC testing for Australian and overseas manufacturers. We also have a fully dedicated CISPR 25 Electronic Sub Assembly (ESA) chamber, another large CISPR 25 anechoic chamber for vehicle testing or susceptibility levels in excess of 500V/m. We possess a vast array of specific automotive EMC test equipment such as BCI’s, tri-plate’s, and striplines for susceptibility and emissions testing to meet the most stringent automotive EMC requirements.
