Battery test chambers are supplied to a variety of industries including telecommunications, computer and automotive. With the goal of reducing automobile emissions and the development of electric vehicles, the need for lithium ion battery testing is even more critical. Each test chamber is built according to specific test requirements and may be interfaced with battery cyclers, control & monitoring data acquisitions systems and other test equipment for a complete integrated test solution. These features may be incorporated into CSZ test chambers and tailored to the various hazard levels of EUCAR (European Council for Automotive R&D), a consortium of European car manufacturers. To better assess the hazard potential of tests, EUCAR has investigated hazardous situations and divided them into eight risk classes. The development of the safety equipment of our battery test systems is also based on this classification. For each hazard level, we recommend specific safety options that can be included with your chamber to meet your specifications to safety test your product. HXV products are high voltage systems intened for Hi-pot / IR or High voltage switching. They can be configured to drive from 32 to 128 switch points per chassis and can be configured as multiplexer (1xN) or Matrix (NxM) configurations. Stand HXV chassis are used for signals up to 5000 VAC rms ( 7400 V peak ) and can carry up to 5 amps of current. Custom systems can be built up to 25KV. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers or 2x4 matrix modules that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. Connector options for standard HXV include 5 way banaba jacks / binding posts, Shrouded Banana Jacks or SHV ( High voltage BNC) if you need to use a high voltage cable with a grounded shield for safety applications. Control options include 10/100BaseT Ethernet LAN, RS232, GPIB or optional manual control. Standard HXV systems use high voltage reed relays. Custom HXV systems up to 25KV use application specific relays and connectors from a variety of vendors based on required specifications.
