The HSIR is the ground test facility and it simulates various LRUs/sensors interfaced with the HAWK Mission Computer. RIG consists of Industrial computers with Simulation modules, Acquisition modules, Video generator module and video display monitors. RIG provides the simulated inputs to both the MCs from each simulated sensor/ LRU through hardwired signals, through the MIL-1553B, Arinc 429, RS-422, RS232 and Ethernet etc. The rig is capable of testing two MCs together either of which can be used as the Bus Controller (BC) or the Remote Terminal (RT). The rig provides the facility to monitor and acquire the MIL-1553B, Arinc 429, RS-422, and RS232 Ethernet bus, Analog IOs, Synchro IOs, Discrete IOs and transactions that takes place between the MCs and various sensors/units. Teledyne RF & Micrrowave's Six Channel 2 - 18 GHz (RF and LO) downconverter operates with an IF of ~960 MHz, providing 25 dB of RF-IF gain, and bandwidth of ~500 MHz. This downconverter operates on a single LO at -6 dBm which is amplified, split, then again amplified to each of the 6 channels. Integrated into each channel is a range extension switch, controlled by a TTL input and adding 20 dB attenuation. Noise figure is ~ 13.5 dB and output IP3 is ~+25 dBm. The downconverter is 2- sided, hermetically sealed and designed for rugged applications.

HV Enclosures with Integrated Safety Test

The HV test hood according to Performance Level e (ISO 13849-1), developed by us according to the EN50191 standard (erection and operation of fixed and temporary electrical test installations), offers the highest safety for the operator. The large test chamber is enclosed with a hood made of sturdy, highly insulating and transparent plastic. During the test, there is a clear view of the test specimen. A signal light visually indicates safe opening when the light is “green”. “Red light” symbolises danger, the hood cannot be opened due to the safety interlock. The safety switch also ensures that the hood cannot be opened during the test. This means that the test hood fulfils all the required specifications for compulsory contact protection.
