Thyristor Switches
SC Series
SC Series Thyristor Switches are used in systems which contain fastswitching inductive loads. The capacitors, which will be used to provide capacitive power to the system, can be switched on and off with a switching time shorter than 20 ms (1 period) by using SC Series Static Contactors, thereby providing a more effective compensation for fast-switching loads such as tack welding machines, cranes and arc furnaces.

Solar Simulation
Sciencetech solar simulators produce high intensity, uniform illumination on a target area. Typically, high power solar simulators use an ellipsoidal reflector to capture light from an arc lamp source inside the reflector, an arrangement that results in a light pattern with a bright outer region and a dark center. This non-uniformity is un- acceptable in many solar simulator applications and as a result, forces many of our solar simulator competitors to use designs involving diffusers to reduce the non-uniformity. This results in a reduction of intensity and a dis- tortion of the spectrum on the target area.

CAT Advanced Series
Description The Advanced CAT Series Analyzers and Timers are stand-alone or PC-controlled digital instruments for circuit breaker status evaluation. Timing channels record arc closing and opening, resistance and auxiliary contacts. The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of pre-insertion resistors (if present in the breaker). The advanced CAT series records graphs of the opening and closing coil currents and the movements of the moving parts of the high and medium voltage circuit breaker. Imbedded A5 Processor Test Interface

Advanced Microtechnology has extended the application of its Optimum product line with theintegration of ARC5 imbedded test functions. Up to 40 controllers may be independently powered and monitored for functionality using the process test interface of the Optimum WinAOS application. Each part may have 2 separate biases featuring both current and voltage monitoring. Independent test is implemented through a standard JTAG interface. A separate serial clock and command interface may be used if required to provide device initialization sequences. JTAG control is muxed to each part through the use of an independent clock for each part. All of the ARC processor registers and memory space may be tested through the JTAG I/O.
