EtherCAT is an open real-time Ethernet Master/Slave network developed by Beckhoff. Today, it is an open standard, managed by the EtherCAT technology group. EtherCAT sets new limits for real-time performance since it processes 1000 distributed I/O in 30 µs or 100 axis in 100 µs using twisted pair or fiber optic cable. Regarding topology, EtherCAT supports a simple low cost line structure, a tree structure, daisy chaining or drop lines - no expensive infrastructure components are required. Alternatively the classic more expensive switched star topology can be used.

Its exclusive Adaptive Signal SensingTM technology uses multiple criteria to decide when to switch sources, and adapts to users’ activity patterns, customizing its switching behavior over time. The high bandwidth circuitry accepts HDTV component video (YPbPr), stereo analog audio, and digital audio in both optical and coaxial formats, and switches all audio and video signals simultaneously when a new source becomes active. Digital audio signals are converted automatically to the desired format. Up to four sources may be connected to one receiver/video display system through the 1154A. A manual select button is provided to override the 1154A’s automatic selection. Multi-color front panel LEDs indicate source availability.

This Hardy Shaker provides the ability to set the amplitude and change the frequency range without the amplitude changing. This automation makes conducting a test easier. A test can be conducted on a vibration transducer and manually recorded. Multiple tests are not saved; for multiple tests use the HI-903 or HI-803 units. The HI-913 is used for testing from 7 to 10,000 Hz, it offers adjustable frequency and vibration levels.
