GPS421 is a four way, passive, GPS signal splitter ideal for splitting a GPS antenna signal between two receivers while providing a DC current path to power a remotely located active GPS antenna from one receiver while blocking the DC path from the other. Furnished with TNC female connectors all ports. A special feature of this unit is the 200 ohm internal load which provides a current drain for the GPS receiver not powering the active antenna. Some GPS receivers incorrectly sense an antenna fault when there is no current draw. The 200 ohm internal load provides a simulated antenna current drain which prevents receiver faulting. Max voltage rating at the DC blocked ports is 15 VDC; maximum current rating is 75 mA. Max voltage rating at the DC pass port is 50 VDC; max current rating is 2000 mA.

4-Way Antenna Splitter

The 4-Way Antenna Splitter provides a convenient means of driving multiple (up to four) GPS or GPS/GLONASS receivers off of one antenna output. The unit has a single TNC female input connector and four isolated TNC female output connectors. Power (12 VDC) is present at the TNC input connector to power an active antenna. The output ports incorporate DC blocking capacitors to allow direct connection to receivers with DC voltage present on their input connectors.

As an example, if you want to cut something the power should generally be focused in the center of the beam to concentrate the power density in a very small area but if you were trying to weld something with all the power in the center you would poke a hole in the weld; requiring the power to be equally distributed as in a top hat profile.
