Determination of released carbon dioxide and water is a special requirement for quality control in the cement and lime industry. ELTRA’s CW-800 analyzer is designed for the precise, simultaneous determination of carbon dioxide and water in lime, gypsum and cement from trace level up to 100 % (depending on sample weight). Other sample materials include ores, soil and minerals. The CW-800 is equipped with a resistance furnace with quartz tube for sample oxidation and can provide temperatures up to 1000 °C. The temperature of the CW-800 can be set up in steps of 1 °C and the temperature is fixed during measurement. As common carrier gas in the CW-800 nitrogen is used.

Radiant's Chamber/Pyroelectric Task sets the sample to a series of temperatures by performingGPIB control of an external thermal device. At each temperature it captures the sample’s polarization response and/or small-signalcapacitance. These are combined to calculate the pyroelectric coefficient. The Pyroelectric Task is to be used with a Radiant Test System and a Linkam Stage (-196C to 600C), Thermal Chambers, Hot Chucks, or a Furnace to automatically measure the Pulse Polarization response and Small Signal Capacitance of a Pyroelectric material that is being heated and/or cooled. Radiant's Pyroelectric measurement Task can be added to Vision at additional cost. This measurement suite fully characterizes the pyroelectric charge (polarization) response of the sample under test. The Model 3549 is a major advancement in the design of externally mounted, furnace extensometers. This new extensometer is designed to meet the stringent requirements of strain controlled testing as prescribed in ISO 6892, while introducing many new innovative features that help improve productivity with static testing applications (tension and compression testing) and long term testing such as low cycle fatigue and creep. The overall design reduces any influence from common lab environment vibrations. This unit also incorporates a new feature that allows the user to precisely set the contact force against the test specimen. This allows for even and repeatable contact force, limiting contact force induced errors. This extensometer mounts on a slide bracket (included) that can attach to the load frame of your test system; optional load frame mounting brackets are available. The gauge length for the 3549 is automatically set prior to mounting on the test specimen, which allows for hot mounting after thermal equilibrium has been reached.

These three zone resistance wire wound furnaces are of split construction to facilitate fast and easy loading of a pre-assembled specimen train. The case is constructed from stainless steel with aluminium and hardened insulation board end plates. The optional front cut-out allows the use of side-entry high-temperature extensometry. Adjustable stainless steel latches keep the furnace halves locked together during use, but are then easily opened once testing is complete. The furnace is available with optional heavy duty brackets or mountings, which attach to a wide range of testing systems. An extensive range of standard controllers is available to suit most test regimes. Custom variants can be specified should the standard range not include a suitable unit.

The Thermogravimetric Analyzer TGA-1000/1500 is a thermal analysis instrument that measures weight changes as a function of temperature or time. The system allows for multiple heating, cooling, and isothermal segments to be linked together to achieve a complex profile. Automatic gas switching is also supported during the temperature program. The vertical hangdown design offers stable and smooth weight readings to be recorded during the experiment. The TGA’s small mass furnace responds quickly to changes in the temperature profile and cools down quickly for fast turn around between experiments. Typical analyses for a TGA-1000/1500 include percent weight loss, onset temperature calculations and residual weight.
