Typical applications for this high-density reed relay matrix include signal routing in Functional ATE and data acquisition systems. These PXI matrix modules are constructed using high reliability Sputtered Ruthenium Reed Relays, offering 109 operations to give maximum switching confidence with long life and stable contact resistance. Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PXI modules. For example, seven PXI modules will form a 224x8 Matrix, a total of 1792 crosspoints in a 7-slot PXI Chassis.

Dual Channel Driver Card

Two channels of 8 to 10 MHz drivers (25 V amplitude). The output voltage range is ±25V, with independent high and low voltage settings. The inputs to the Card are optically isolated. The card also contains voltage and current sense capability, which allows muxing of the current or voltage output measurements from all the Driver Channels in the system to a single DVM. The card allows independent programming of the rise and fall time of each channel as low as one nanosecond increments.

There is one Input FIFO per LVDS channel. 1K x 32. One Latch Xilinx handles 4 LVDS channels. The data is read from the Input FIFO by the Latch Xilinx and either written to the SDRAM or the Output FIFO.
