LISST-Deep
The LISST-DEEP instrument obtains in-situmeasurements of particle size distribution,optical transmission, and the opticalvolume scattering function (VSF). Using ared 670nm diode laser and a customsilicon detector, small-angle scatteringfrom suspended particles is sensed at 32specific log-spaced angle ranges. Thismeasurement is post-processed to obtainsediment size distribution, volumeconcentration, optical transmission, andVSF. The electronics and opticalconfiguration in the LISST-DEEP are verysimilar to Sequoia’s workhorse, the LISST-100X. However, because of the extremedifficulty associated with keepingalignment under high pressure, the LISSTDEEPhardware design is radically differentfrom the LISST-100X. This allows theLISST-DEEP to be deployed down to 3000m and obtain reliable measurements ofthe in situ particle size distribution andvolume concentration in waters withoptical transmission up to 98.5%.

8-Channel Relay Output Board
PX8500
The PX8500 is an external 8-channel relay board for the connection of digital output boards. It can be cascaded in 16, 24 and 32 relays and is intended for mounting on DIN supporting rails. The board provides a convenient interface between an industrialprocess and the SUB-D connectors on ADDI-DATA boards. The change-over contacts of the relay are controlled through 24 V signals. The 24 V voltage supply is protected through varistors and transil diodes. The board is intended for the use with 220 V supply. The creeping distance (acc. to DIN VDE0110) and the connector cross sections allows high-power switching (up to 2,500 VA).

Burn-in system, based on LXI instrumentation, for concurrent testing of up to 80 DUTs in a climatic chamber. Devices to be tested include modern light emitting diodes and LED modules.The system consists of 2 control cabinets, each with 40 independent supply and measurement channels. Each channel can be configured individually via the operator software (current or voltage, including the relevant limit values). The software supports logging of current and voltage values for each DUT on all 80 channels with a sampling rate of <1s. The ProDAQ 5821 series of Signal Conditioning Cards is designed to interface with a variety of sensors, principally RTDs, Thermistors, Cryogenic Diodes and Voltage type sensors. Each version of the 5821 provides the capability of precise 4-wire measurement. In order to achieve this, a precise 500μA constant current source is provided per channel. The current source can be disabled on a per channel basis and is monitored to ensure that current is flowing. The value of the output current is stored on-board after calibration. In order to achieve the highest accuracy the output current may be automatically calibrated 'on-the-fly' using the ProDAQ 3416 24-bit Sigma-Delta ADC card and an on-board precision resistor.
