Large FIFOs protect against data loss in multitasking operating systems, reduce CPU utilization, and improve data throughput, while reducing or eliminating inter-character or inter-packet pauses. The CommSync II family of modular systems provide GPS time and frequency outputs to meet your synchronization requirements. All systems include support for multiple input and output modules including 1PPS, IRIG, HAVE QUICK, PTTI, IEEE-1588 PTPv2, low phase noise 1, 5, and 10 MHz sine wave as well as custom outputs.These systems are available with military SAASM MPE-S GB-GRAM, SAASM Force 22E MRU or civilian C/A GPS receivers. Rubidium or OCXO oscillators provide for excellent holdover performance in the event of failure of the reference inputs. In addition, they may be configured as Distribution Time and Frequency (DTF) systems that are synchronized by an external reference. Radio Telemetry: A transmission of data from a remote source via a radio to a receiving station for recording and analysis. Inductance: A contactless method of supplying power to (in this case) a strain gauge bridge. The signal is then transmitted back to the electronics. Slip Ring: Consists of a conductive band mounted on a shaft and is insulated from it. The wheatstone bridge is connected to the bands (usually four off). Fixed brushes or contacts make contact on to the bands to transfer power to the bridge and signal back to the static instrumentation.
