This conduction cooled 6U CompactPCI dual slot PMC provides an active interface between the CompactPCI bus (backplane) and a PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC). This product addresses the needs of aerospace, military, and rugged applications. It contains a thermal heat frame made of aluminum that fits together with conduction cooled PMC modules. Conduction cooling conducts heat away from the hot spots of the board and transfers the heat to the card edges and to the system chassis. No active ventilation is necessary inside of the system, which means the boards are sealed from the environmental influences found outside of the chassis. The heat frame and integrated wedge locks for the conduction cooling stiffens the carrier and PMC module enabling the board to resist high shock and vibration.

Faceplate I/O in the single-slot (4HP) version includes 1x DVI-I, 2x GbE and 1x USB 3.0 port (these I/O are common to all versions). Faceplate I/O in the dual-slot (8HP) version includes additional 2x USB 2.0, 1x COM, 1x KB/MS and Line-in/Line-out on the cPCI-3520D or additional 2x DisplayPorts, 1x COM in RJ-45 connector, 1x KB/MS and 1x additional USB 2.0 port on the cPCI-3520G. The PI-41000-4G is a CompactPCI® bus based instrument card that allows the user to capture up to 32-bits of digital data into an on-board memory at clock rates up to 120 MHz. The inputs are software configurable to provide one 32-bit wide channel, one 16-bit wide channel with double depth or two 16-bit channels. When configured with a single 16-bit input, the card will capture at up to 120 MHz. When configured with two 16-bit inputs or as a single 32-bit input, the card will capture at up to 80 MHz. Each digital data channel requires three timing signals, frame, line and pixel to accommodate the data capture. When operating in a two channel mode, clocks from channel A can be used to provide timing to channel B. For wider words or multiple channels, more boards can be used in parallel.
