Tactical Video Data Link
Tactical Video Data Link (TVDL) is a video and data receiver/transmitter system specially designed for attack helicopters. This compact and lightweight system, weighing less than 4 kg, enables real-time, high-quality video imagery and data captured by UAV payloads or ground-based sensors to be displayed directly to the aircrew. This saves the need for lengthy radio dialogue by creating a common visual language amongst all forces in the battlespace and dramatically shortening the sensor-to-shooter loop. The Power Probe OBD-II Breakout Box is a CAN Bus circuit tester compatible with 12 and 24 Volt systems. The tool connects directly into the Vehicle’s Data Link Connector (DLC) testing for any abnormalities such as shorting and reverse polarity at the pins. If shorting or reverse polarity is present, connecting the PPECB first will prevent harm before connecting a Diagnostic Scan Tool. The Breakout Box provides a live display of present communicating signals without having to use a Digital Multimeter. Additionally, you can quickly test the voltages at all 16 pins.

Waveguide Detectors 26.5 to 110 GHz
Our waveguide detectors cover a broad frequency range of 26.5 GHz to 110 GHz and are available with waveguide sizes ranging from WR-28 to WR-10. The video output ports utilize SMA female connectors. These high performance zero-biased waveguide detectors exhibit excellent performance in Ka, Q, U, V, E and W frequency bands. These types of waveguide detectors are commonly used in various aerospace, defense and commercial wireless applications used in instrumentation, power detection, power monitoring, direct detection receivers, high frequency communications, radar, SATCOM, point-to-point radio, telecom, data links and R&D. The detector circuits use high performance GaAs Schottky Barrier Beam lead diodes with extremely low junction capacitance. These waveguide detector designs perform with minimal sensitivity variation resulting in a flat frequency response across the entire waveguide band. All of the waveguide detectors are in-stock and ready to ship.

Fiber-Optic Transmission
Fiber optic transmission systems all use data links that work similar to the diagram shown above. Each fiber link consists of a transmitter on one end of a fiber and a receiver on the other end. Most systems operate by transmitting in one direction on one fiber and in the reverse direction on another fiber for full duplex operation. It's possible to transmit both directions on one fiber but it requires couplers to do so and fiber is less expensive than couplers. A FTTH passive optical network (PON) is one of the only systems using bidirectional transmission over a single fiber because its network architecture is based around couplers already.
