To accommodate developments in radio equipment technology and to align with the requirements of the New Legislative Framework (NLF), the EU R&TTE Directive has been re-written. As of 2016, the European Commission replaced the R&TTE Directive with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), which establishes safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for equipment using the radio spectrum. Following June 13, 2017, after a one year transition, the RED 2014/35/EU replaced the R&TTE Directive. All new and existing products within the scope of the RED must comply in order to achieve CE marking.

Battery load bank BLU-T is a powerful and lightweight solution designed for condition assessment of telecommunication and radio equipment backup supply. This instrument can perform the battery capacity test on battery strings such as Pb, Li-ion, Ni-Cd, and others. It tests battery strings with voltages in the range of 0,9 – 70,5 V DC. As a special feature, the BLU110T model enables capacity testing of single PB, Ni-based as well as Li cells (with current up to 100 A).The capacity test is conducted in an accurate, user-friendly way. Also, it is in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.BLU-T battery load bank enables setting the discharge current up to 350 A, with 0,1 A resolution. Using TDR technology, the Cable Gauge diagnoses cable faults with no launch or dead zone at an accuracy of ±2%. Simply select the appropriate cable type from the pre-stored library or enter the cable NVP, attach the leads to two conductors of the cable and with a single press of a button the length of the cable or distance to an open or short is displayed. Voltage on the wires up to 250v is continuously measured by the built in, true RMS voltmeter and is displayed to warn of a potentially unsafe condition.
