When it comes to choosing a transformer turns ratio tester, TRT Standard series offers some of the most advanced instruments with LCD display out in the market. Each model measures transformer excitation current and phase shift performs automatic vector group detection and magnetic balance on three-phase transformers and three-phase autotransformers. Furthermore, they have a built-in true three-phase power source. Because of that, TRT Standard instruments can test transformers with special configurations, such as phase-shifting, rectifier, arc-furnace, traction transformers, etc.The instruments can output test voltages from 1 V AC to 250 V AC, depending on the chosen model. Physitemp’s Thermes high accuracy data acquisition system has been redesigned to create a more versatile USB model. The new system requires no internal connections to your computer and simply connects via an external USB port on your laptop or desktop computer. Two versions of the data acquisition system are available. The standard version, THERMES USB, is connected to your computer USB port. The wireless version - THERMES USB WFI, can be either directly connected to a USB port or, with the included wireless receiver, positioned up to 100 feet from the host computer. Each unit will accommodate up to 7 type T thermocouple sensors and multiple Thermes units may be connected to the same computer for more thermocouple inputs. A high accuracy electronic cold junction compensation circuit maintains typical system accuracy of ±0.2°C over an ambient temperature range of 15 to 35°C. Model 7650 extensometers are primarily used on round specimens tested in bi-axial test machines capable of simultaneous axial and torsional loading. All models are capable of bi-directional displacement in both axes and may be used for strain-controlled fatigue testing under fully reversed load and strain conditions at frequencies up to 10 Hz.All 7650 models mount rigidly on the load frame and incorporate slide mounting to bring the extensometer into contact with the specimen. The gauge length is set automatically before mounting on the test specimen, which allows for hot mounting after thermal equilibrium has been reached.These units are specifically designed to minimize crosstalk between axes and to provide high accuracy, high resolution measurements. They incorporate capacitive sensors for low operating force and include electronics with programmable filtering and multi-point linearization for improved performance and accuracy. The overall design minimizes, and in many cases virtually eliminates, any influence from common lab environment vibrations.These water-cooled extensometers are equipped with high purity alumina rods with conical rod tips for specimen contact when testing to 1200℃(2200°F).
