Single Channel USB Programmable Instrumentation Amplifier
USBPIA-S1
The USBPIA-S1 stand alone USB controllable module provides a single channel of high-quality instrumentation amplifier and optional AC coupling, for front-end signal conditioning compatible with all popular A/D converter devices. The USBPIA-S1 is powered with 9 to 12VDC so it can be connected to a battery voltage source or the supplied 115-220VAC adapter may be used for operation with wall power anywhere in the world. When programmed from the USB port, the USBPIA-S1 will remember all of the programmed properties between power cycles. Program once and operate as a stand- alone signal conditioner without having to reprogram for every use. This is perfect for turn-key applications. It's easy to connect the USBPIA-S1 into the data collection system. Input and output signals can be routed through BNC connection or using the detachable screw terminal connectors. Optional SMA type adapters are also available.

The DTX-5000 Signal Conditioner Series provides up to 64 channels of state-of-the-art signal processing in a compact (5U) chassis. Using hybrid mixed-signal technology, high-performance analog circuitry is combined with Digital Signal Processing to give gain accuracy performance previously available only in larger customized modules. A simple-to-use graphical user interface running under the Windows 2000 operating system allows for ease of setup and either local or remote operation as a network-based instrument node. The suite of conditioner modules include a strain amplifier with internal bridge completion, a general-purpose instrumentation amplifier with selectable AC or DC coupling, a linearized thermocouple amplifier with cold-junction compensation, a frequency-to-voltage converter with dual inputs for direction sensing, and an ICP accelerometer amplifier with constant-current excitation.

Three phase and single phase flexible AC current sensors (rope sensors) are available for fast installation in confined spaces, eliminating the need for Electrical Supply Shutdown. Available outputs are 1A @ 2.5VA and 5A @ 0.5VA, this means long cable lengths from current sensor to signal conditioner allow these low VA ratings to be used, even when feeder cable to energy meter distances are large (up to 98 feet / 30 meters)

In the past, conditioners have been used to simply “knock-down” the magnetic field of low-coercivity magnet parts (such as alnico and ferrite) until a certain field level was achieved. The LCA-9PC Module provides low-cost, dedicated signal conditioning for a single bridge type load cell or torque sensor. Model LCA-9PC comes with DB9 male and female connectors, which require soldering to user-furnished mating female or male wire connectors. On- board jumper selections include sensitivities from 0.5 mV/V to 10 mV/V, bandwidths from 100 Hz to 30 kHz, and amplified outputs of 0 to ±5V, 0 to ±10V, 0-16 mA, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA. Zero and span adjustments are via precision 25-turn low-tempco metal film otentiometers.The units can be operated next to the sensor with 4-wire hookup or at distances up to 1 km (3300 feet) with 6-wire hookup. An onboard 87.325 kΩ resistor allows easy shunt calibration at the push of a button. Provision is also made for a user-furnished calibration resistor. Power requirements are 11.8 to 26V DC with load currents from 10 to 60 mA, the latter applying when the unit provides 10V DC excitation to a 350 ohm load cell and delivers a 20 mA analog output.
