Hi Pot Meters

The HI Pot Device is designed to Hi Pot de-energized 15kV class cables. The tool transforms 18 Volts from the battery to approximately 8,000 volts DC. When the battery is installed and the safety switch is in the closed down position, the unit is in voltage detection mode. The unit should be in this position when installing the device, as it will sound a warning alarm if you approach an energized source. When the safety switch is lifted and the toggle switch is switched up, the unit is in the Hi-Pot mode and the high voltage DC is being applied.

What makes the GT 658 superior to traditional counters is analogous to the difference between volt meters & digital scopes. While both measure voltage, the scope provides much more information about the dynamics of the signal. This is because our patented TIA substantially increases measurement speed, and the measurements are displayed as afunction of time. Digital Circuit Breaker Analyzer

The CT-3500 S2 is Vanguard’s second generation, stand-alone, digital, microprocessor-controlled, circuit-breaker timer. It measures the elapsed time from the instant a breaker coil is energized to the instant of opening or closing of a circuit-breaker’s dry contacts. In addition to timing a breaker’s contact response time, the CT-3500 S2 can also time relays or other switching functions that use an initiating trigger voltage (24-300 Volts DC or AC). The timer-triggering voltage starts three independent electronic timers. Each timer is individually stopped by its respective dry-contact closing or opening. The CT-3500 can fully analyze the timing of all circuit breaker operations (Open, Close, Open – Close, and Close – Open). Timing results are displayed in milli-seconds and cycles on the unit’s back-lit LCD screen and can be printed on the built-in 2.5-inch wide thermal printer.

Active Voltage Probes

Engineers must commonly probe high-frequency signals with high signal fidelity. Typical passive probes with high input R and C provide good response at lower frequencies, but inappropriately load the circuit, and distort signals, at higher frequencies. Active voltage probes feature both high input R and low input C to reduce circuit loading across the entire probe/oscilloscope bandwidth. Renesas' family of low-side FET drivers are very high-speed matched dual-drivers capable of delivering peak currents of 2.0 amps into highly capacitive loads and excellent at driving large capacitive loads with minimal delay and switching times. The high-speed performance is achieved by means of a proprietary "Turbo-Driver" circuit that speeds up input stages by tapping the wider voltage swing at the output. Improved speed and drive capability are enhanced by matched rise and fall delay times. These matched delays maintain the integrity of input-to-output pulse-widths to reduce timing errors and clock skew problems. This improved performance is accompanied by a 10 fold reduction in supply currents over bipolar drivers, yet without the delay time problems commonly associated with CMOS devices. Dynamic switching losses are minimized with non-overlapped drive techniques.
