Lens Antennas
-
A lens antenna is a directional antenna that uses a shaped piece of microwave-transparent material to bend and focus microwaves by refraction, as an optical lens does for light.[1] Typically it consists of a small feed antenna such as a patch antenna or horn antenna which radiates radio waves, with a piece of dielectric or composite material in front which functions as a converging lens to collimate the radio waves into a beam.[2] Conversely, in a receiving antenna the lens focuses the incoming radio waves onto the feed antenna, which converts them to electric currents which are delivered to a radio receiver. They can also be fed by an array of feed antennas, called a focal plane array (FPA), to create more complicated radiation patterns.

Broadband Antenna
Vivaldi
-
The dbDIRECT Broadband Antenna features a broad frequency range of operation, high gain, small form factor and directional radiation pattern, making it highly attractive for widespread use in test and measurement of emerging wireless technology devices and radars. Contrary to conventional Vivaldi antennas limited to operating only at higher frequencies, the dbDIRECT Broadband Antenna design is optimized to operate at a frequency as low as 700 MHz up to 6 GHz. This lightweight and compact antenna design provides excellent matching over a broad frequency range. The antenna is designed to be placed in a DVTEST's portable anechoic chamber such as the dbSAFE enclosures for OTA (Over the Air) testing of DUTs. The antennas can be mounted in fixed positions to facilitate repeatable results. When used in conjunction with a rotary positioning mechanism, customers are able to detect the highest point of power sensitivity for enhanced accuracy and repeatability in measurements. In this configuration, both the antennas and DUTs can be positioned in order to facilitate the measurement.

Conical Horn Antennas
-
Conical gain horns are offered as both standard and custom models with either a circular or rectangular waveguide interface. While conical gain horns with a rectangular waveguide interface can only support linear polarization, models with a circular waveguide interface can support various polarization types including horizontal, vertical, left-handed circular, and right-handed circular polarization for broader applications. The listed models operate across the full waveguide band and offer 23 dB nominal gain, 12 degrees typical half power beamwidth, a 24 dB typical side lobe level and 1.15:1 VSWR at center frequency. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 8.5 to 140 GHz. However, other frequencies and standard models with 10, 15, 20 and 25 dB gain are also available.

VHF/UHF Handheld Signal Location Antennas
Type NVF-2
-
The Type NVF-2 series of handheld directional antennas are used to locate interfering signals or noise in either the 420 – 470 MHz (Type NVF-2A) or the 900 MHz ISM band or cellular telephone bands (Type NVF-2B). Both models incorporate a solid reflector positioned behind a resonated half wave driven element, both elements being mounted on a fiberglass rod with an integral pistol grip. The configuration of the reflector and driven element are such that a deep null in the signal being received will occur when the antenna is pointed in the direction of the signal being radiated. A T-pad resistive attenuator is also incorporated in the antenna mounting enclosure to aid in the direction finding process on very strong signals or when excessive reflections present multiple returns.

Rectangular Horn Antennas
-
SAGE Millimeter wave rectangular gain horns, also called pyramidal gain horns, are offered as both standard and custom models with a rectangular waveguide interface. The pyramidal gain horns only support linear polarization. With a calibrated gain chart, these horns can be used to measure the gain of other antennas by comparing the generated signal levels of both. For this reason, these horns are also referred to as standard gain horns. The listed models offer 23 dB nominal gain, 10/11 degrees typical half power beamwidth and 14 dB/30 dB typical side lobe levels at the center frequency of the band. These horns cover full waveguide bandwidths within the frequency range of 8.2 to 170 GHz. In addition to the models listed below, models with 10, 15, 20 and 25 dB gain and other frequency bands are also available.
