The robust sensor gauge tube is easily installed into vacuum systems and when properly excited, generates a thermoelectric voltage to provide a vacuum pressure measurement based on gas density. The DV-6 thermocouple vacuum gauge tube fully compensates for temperature and rate of temperature change.Thermocouple gauge tubes are calibrated on vacuum systems that contain N2 or Air, but can be used with other gases. Additionally, thermocouple gauges and their controllers can be recalibrated when a replacement thermocouple gauge tube is installed, following instructions in the manual. However, our DB-20 reference tube is available to confirm meter/controller performance. A complete line of installation accessories are also available to simplify the integration of our thermocouple gauge tubes into a variety of vacuum systems. Our goal is to provide “one less thing to worry about”, when performance matters! With a wide range of meter, fitting, relay and output options, the DV-6 series provides a reliable pressure measurement in numerous industries and applications.

There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured. Differential pressure sensors measure the difference in pressure between two points. Differential pressure sensors are often used to monitor airflow in HVAC applications.

The 835 VQM is a mass spectrometer that operates from UHV to 10-5 Torr and accurately measures the gases in the vacuum chamber. The 835 VQM Differential Pump System delivers the advantages of the 835 VQM at higher pressures. The VQM system consists of an autoresonant ion trap mass spectrometer gauge, a VQM Controller and VQM Viewer software that that converts raw data into actionable information. The system is ratiometric, meaning that it determines the ratio of each gas to other gases in a vacuum chamber. It is usually coupled with a total pressure gauge to provide partial pressures of each gas as indication of the quality of the vacuum in the chamber.
