The new PeakTech 3433 was specially developed for daily use in the craftsmanship, as it can be used to locate wood, metal or live lines to make sure that no damage is caused through the work of chiseling, slitting or drilling into walls. The inverted LCD display shows the distance to the material which has been found and helps the user to assess the internal condition of the wall to avoid damage to pipes or live circuits. The depth of reception of the sensor is between 20mm (wood) and 120mm (ferrous metal) depending on the material sought. In addition, an LED (green, yellow, red) indicates whether a material has been found or whether there is a live line at the current test point. The Automatic Wire Test Set (AWTS) is automated test equipment that aids wiring diagnostics of electrical and electronic devices. The Test Control Unit (TCU) uses resistance measurements, capacitance measurements, and AC/DC voltage measurements to perform continuity, insulation, and isolation tests. The AWTS Laptop CPU, hereafter referred to as CPU, controls the AWTS. The Eclypse Language Integrated Test Environment (ELITE) is application software that controls the TCU. The majority of the hardware for a test is contained in the TCU. The 128pin connector on the TCU front panel provides 128 energizable test points. Switch Modules (SM) can be connected in sequence or daisy chained to the TCU and provide an additional 1024 test points; 128 of those are energizable.

Fine Pitch Probes
Fine pitch probes are spring contact probes with pitches between 0.10 / 4mil and 1.00mm / 40mil.In this pitch, direct soldering and the use of mounting receptacles is usually no longer possible. Therefore, almost all fine pitch probes are designed as double-sided spring-loaded contact probes. Fine pitch probes are installed in corresponding test sockets, which enable exact contacting of the test points.
